In November we got together again with my community and went to karaoke (so glad I'm not the only one who loves to sing) *(^-^)*

Coord 29 - Archery

With my Lolitaversary fast approaching I'm going to try my best to catch up on my posts (yeah, I know I say that a lot XD)


Back in the beginning of November me and my husband finally went out and used the Groupon we had bought for two hours of archery. We got there right before they opened, so we hadn't had breakfast and ended up leaving before our two hours were up because; well we were hungry and our fingers were hurting. lol. I was really hoping to be a natural and be all bad a** like Kagome but sadly I wasn't really great at it; though I did do better than most of the people next to us. It was still a lot of fun though and I hope we can do it again :)

While I really wanted to wear Lolita I decided to do a kinda casual punk coord since we weren't sure what all we would get into, which was a good idea because we ended the day at the park with our dogs.

I actually really like how it came out ^^;

Coord 28 - It's a Girl

My Little Sister is having a baby, so I dressed up for her baby shower in of course PINK!!! The socks I wanted to wear didn't come in in time so I tried to work with what I already had. I still liked the way it came out. I really like Sweet Lolita. It's the style I first fell in love with. I'd probably have a very pastel wardrobe by now, but since I was already married when I got into the fashion I ended up with lots of black and white because I knew it would be easier to ease my husband into and I really do love a good black and white combo. I have since started to add more pastels into my wardrobe and will definitely continue to do so ^^;

Finally starting to put a dent in the coords I have to post. I really can't believe how much Lolita I've worn and it hasn't even been a year yet.

Coord 27 - Punk

This is a coord I put together for a night out on the town. Me and my husband went out to eat and later met up our friends at a bar that was having karaoke. And I even had the courage to go up and sing a couple of songs. I felt like a rock star. lol

Gothic Zoo Boo Meet / Halloween

In October our community had a meet up at the local zoo. It was supposed to be a Gothic meet up but since I didn't have any Gothic clothes I threw together a Halloween coord with a kinda punk feel to it.

And here's my coord. I ended up dying my skirt (which was originally black and off-white) to purple so that I could get a more witchy feel to it. It was my first time dying something and I had the misstep of the fact that some of the lace was not all cotton so it dyed a more lavendar color than purple. I was lucky enough to find some lavendar tulle and ribbon (the day before) so that I could kinda balance out my coord. I was literally sewing a few hours before the meet so that I could pull everything together. lol

I ended up recycling this coord for Halloween with some minor changes XD I wore it all day long and even went reverse trick-or-treating in it.

Overall I had an awesome time as usual with my HLC buddies. And I can't wait to have more time to make and customize more things for my ever expanding wardrobe. Have y'all ever made or customized anything to work with your coord? I'd love to hear and even see some pictures ^^

Simple coord for a BBQ Cook-off the first Saturday of October. It was really hot out and I took this picture at the end of the day. lol

Coord 24 - New Old School

Got my first headdress finally back in September (it was a part of my birthday present from my husband) so I decided to put together a kinda old school coord. It's not completely old school since my skirt has a print but this coord made me start to fall in love with old school. Now I've worn the style a handful of times and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. I love how simple it is from afar but when you get close there are so many details.

I ended up spending the day with my Mommy and sisters visting family so I was a little nervous wearing Lolita around them (as I rarely ever see that part of my family), but as usual I had nothing to worry about because everyone really like my outfit and kept telling me how cute I looked #^.^# Though I did get my first really negative comment from my mom's (now ex) boyfriend, my sisters ended up sticking up for me so it made me feel good.

Birthday Coord

This year my birthday fell on a Wednesday (it's September 18th) so I decided to take advantage and finally attend karaoke with my husband's aunt and cousin since they had been inviting me for months.

I love karaoke. I do it all the time on my own (in my room, by myself) and with my family or close friends but I had never really done it in front of a room full of strangers. I knew I had to get over my fear and just do it and what better time then on my birthday in the fashion that has really helped me come more out of my shell.

I was really nervous, and literally shaking when I finished, but I had so much fun. I've even been back a couple of times since then. I'm not completely over my fear of singing in front of people but baby steps. lol

Easter Coord

I'm way behind on my posts and since it's the New Year I'm just going to dump alot of them back to back and try to somewhat catch up. For this one I'm going way back since I got the pictures from my friend not too long ago. I wore this for a be-lated birthday / Easter family get together back in April. So I went with pastels, rabbits and chucks for comfort. Here are some of the shots my friend took.
